And who says Leicester fans have become entitled?! How dare they!

Honestly... We are in a shit position, we can complain about the current running of the club - but this shouldn't stop us recognising this as fantastic investment from King Power and good for the club. Both things can be true.

This is good news.

This is the reason we'll continue to slide backwards as a club for a few years yet.

Interesting when Forest’s owner did it in January, there was no PR statement by them but rsther the local press found out because of Companies House update

Well it appears this has been prompted by a rule from the Premier League where clubs are being given a break to convert debt.

Of course LCFC in an attempt to wrestle back the PR campaign, have gone full hammer on the wavering support line

Yeah very nice and all but who ran up the debt in the first place?

Genuinely. Current trajectory has us back in it with them in next 3-4 years
Does it?

After our last relegation exactly the same stuff was said about us 'being in League 2 in a couple of years or turning into Derby yada, yada, yada'.

The club is a ****ing mess at the moment, but the facts are extremely simple; with KP in charge we had our best times, without them in charge, we had our very worst. Take them out of the club now and, unless another billionaire is willing to step in, we'd be completely screwed and searching the metaphorical wheelie bins for scraps again.

I don't think we need new owners. What we need is a restructuring of the way the club is run. Top is very naive. I think of him in that meme where the dog is sitting down at a table with his house burning down around him saying 'this is fine'. There's no doubting the guy's commitment and KP will have a permanent connection to the club through Vichai's legacy even if they did decide to move on but there's also no doubting the fact that since Vichai passed, the general running of the club has been absolutely piss poor.

Our scouting network seems to need a complete overhaul as these days we seem to be throwing darts at a board and missing most of the time. That coupled with Rudkin's disastrous negotiating both in terms of the fees with other clubs and the player's wages/contracts are causing us no end of trouble financially. Other issues like the Adrien Silva 14 seconds bullshit and the recent dodgy sponsor from curacao rumours just scream incompetence.

This is before we even think about the playing squad we've got to fix and the on pitch troubles.

Kieran Maguire's recent tweet refering to Top's debt-to-equity write off refers to debt interest and PSR, and I quote, as the Premier League's "invented interest charge". So it seems the EPL do do something funky with loan interest. Anyone have any idea just how they factor it in to the PSR calc?

The problem with this attitude is that Aiyawatt runs the club. He makes all the big decisions and is accessible by the players.

It doesn't matter what structure the club has when he undermines anyone of any competence.

I think I've got a better handle on it now. More about how the EPL are going to handle interest on loans for PSR in the future, rather than anything they're doing now. Regulation changes after the Man City discussions late last year re loans from interested/related/linked 3rd parties etc.

Maybe moot if Top/KP aren't charging interest on the loans*, which they probably are/have to. I guess shifting the debt, and it's interest, off the books prevents it being factored in for future PSR calcs.

*Edit: a fair market value (FMV) would be applied by the EPL for the PSR calc

I didn’t say that stuff then, I am now.

We are shagged.

Many did. It was rubbish.

We're really not. We might be a shite PL team but we made a mockery of the Championship for the most part last year and have already put 6 past the team who are currently second in the form table.

If KP walk away then we'll be in exactly the same place we were before they arrived, scratching around at the bottom of the Championship or worse.

Had a good manager. And an expensive underperforming squad

Agreed. We still have a squad that is probably better than most in the Championship. Who knows what will happen with management.

It's really isn't about how we will be in the Championship, it's about how we change our approach to being a PL team so that this shit doesn't keep on happening.

That QPR team was a very long way from their first XI, by the way.

The squad we have now minus the loan players is more than capable of getting promoted out of the championship, however I'm not sure the manager is, also what would be the point in getting promoted again and then doing exactly the same as what we are currently doing. I don't think it's purely the playing staffs fault that we are where we are.
