CP needs a good start and to hit the ground running to win over the doubters. Some of our 'supporters' are moronic enough to be waiting for him to fail sadly.

I get the feeling we will win this one. Everton have been all over the place so Unsworth will be driving some discipline into them.

If we play our usual game though, we will outrun them and get the goals required.

2-1 Leicester.

In the late 1950s the great Joe Mercer was made manager of a struggling Aston Villa. The story (which may be apocryphal) is that they lost his first game 3-2 at home. A director snarled at him "You haven't done much for this team".

I believe Everton are more talented than their league position suggests and will mount a recovery. I hope it does not start tomorrow but if it does can we remember Martin O'Neill and show some patience, Mr Puel deserves time to get to know the players and make adjustments.

Very true. Everton are far better than their league position. They will run into form soon. Let's hope it isn't to-day.

I think we will rip them apart this afternoon, and if Brighton turn over Southampton we could move into the top half of the table.

I wish I had your confidence. They have very good players all over the park. I expect a nervy encounter and in typical Micky style, I expect them to do us over.

I suspect Claude will simply say go out and express yourselves. He has seen the videos. He knows what they can do.

Everton could be a very good side when it clicks.

They will have the sacked manager bounce as well.

Interesting game

I'm just hoping that it is interesting.

Since the Arsenal match, I've found our league games this season really boring. All the home games have been an endurance challenge. Even against Liverpool, which on paper looked a good game, it really wasn't up to much.

I also think that Everton will be there for the taking this afternoon. The Unsworth approach isn't going to mean anything to a bunch of players that mostly have little attachment to the club. They have too many new and naive players.

If we can defend properly and get the ball to Mahrez enough high up the pitch, we should win easily.

Looking forward to this one. Interested to see how Puel looks to make an impact.

Although in 2-3 days of training, there’s only so much he can do. But will be a clue of what to expect.
