Leicester City have named a strong squad to face Oldham Athletic in the Totesport.com Reserve cup final at Quorn F.C (Wednesday 11th August, 7:00pm ko).

Miguel Vitor will make his first appearance in a Leicester City shirt since picking up a muscle injury in City's first pre-season friendly against Jagiellonia Bialystok.

Connection permitting you can listen to full commentary of tonight's game only on Foxes Player to see how Vitor and Lamey get on in this second string campaign. Coverage is scheduled to start at 6:55pm

Looks like connection isn't permitting .

Vitor came off injured after twenty minutes

Great stuff :icon_conf

vitor injured or taken off as precaution? (feckin Tunch mark2)

INJURED:icon_sad:

City then took the lead, after a good combination of power and precision by Chambers. Firstly he muscled Rod McDonald off the ball before slotting past Ollerenshaw in the Athletic goal.
Just after the hour Oldham were level via a set piece. A left wing corner was headed back across goal by Sean Gregan and turned home by Athletic number nine Chris Taylor.

But City were soon back in front via a delightful passing move. Craig King and Jorrin John combined to find Ashley Chambers who found the roof of the net.

City: Ambrusics, Lamey (O'Neill, 46), Vitor (Moore, 13), Parkes (c), Berner (Taft, 46), Milnes, Hicks, John, Verma, Chambers, C. King
Schlupp never made it off the bench as they wanted Lamey and Berner to have some game time. Vitor getting injured wasn't planned though

Respect to Aman Verma, played on tuesday night for about 20 mins then again 90mins last night, good game time for him. I liked to see him progress being a indian myself, nice to see a brown face in football now and then :)

I understand your point of view but I would rather he was at City on merit and not just as a "brown face". Ditto any other race or combination thereof. :icon_bigg :icon_wink

I agree, i feel he has some talent and Leicestershire is know for the increasing number of "Indians/Asians" so having someone who is a little decent and a brown or asian player will sell tickets to different Ethnic origins.

still hope he does well :038::038::038::icon_bigg
