I can only go on what I have seen and that is that Benny looks good enough for me.

His ball control and passing is light years ahead of the current pairing, he's also quicker (not hard)

Give him a chance, if he ****s it up then we haven't lost anything as we would have done anyway.

It's surprising that there is any dissension in the squad when you know that Wasilewski was given a 1 year extension just to control that problem.

Judging by the gallery photos from training today - no Huth, Morgan, Vardy, King, Schmeichel or Simpson tomorrow.

I hope Wes is dropped, benny comes in and gives a world beating performance. Wes is then dropped for a few games, goes to the gym a little bit and returns in March refreshed and ready to spunk on the Premier League.

Of course this won't happen.

Despite being wank and low on confidence we will win this one. We are far superior to Derby and the players will now react to the Manchester United defeat. I strongly believe we will be relegated but I also believe that we will now begin to see some fight. I expect to see a 3-0 win and a brief glimpse of optimism.

If we start to show some fight, we'll stay up.

These players have clearly got it in them, we've seen that. Yes the defence is worse than it was last year due to age and Kante, but these players have got enough about them to stay up if they're fighting and showing the right attitude

CR: "I have to protect some players who need to recover and rest. Also, I want to give the opportunity to the other players."

It's true. Some players do need to 'rest'. Why then, if it's what I want, do I feel so uncertain? Was it Porto that he last gave some players an opportunity? Jeez Yak; damned if he does & damned if he doesn't. Make up your sodding mind.

A sun journalist (spit) just made a good point on the radio. This group of players have largely been to the well so many times that they may just be mentally exhausted. They had the play off semi defeat, digging in mentally for the long promotion season, digging deep for the great escape then the toll of last season. Add to that limited squad rotation during that time. Morgan is old and slower now but he's not had a summer break in 3 years. Not sure the answer but it all may be part of the problem.

Play your best team and lose = an absolute feckin' disaster

Play reserve team and lose = who gives a shit, it was only the reserves and we are desperately concentrating on the league

Man up princess, if we are beaten we are beaten we crack on and keep going for it, they are not a bad side they are just low on confidence this is a great opportunity to get a win and some goals. looking back at the last game we could have won it comfortably just hope he starts with NDIDI this time.

pretty much bang on however I think CR has been stubborn trying to shoehorn his signings in, I hope the players do a media black out and stick two fingers up at the press we really hurt the established elite last season, winds me up watching the smug git pundits crowing that we are where we belong.

He's been shoehorning his new signings in at the same time as refusing to drop his favourite old guards? Interesting.

who else is there for right back? I'd let Simpson sit this one out after his knock as we need him for Sunday

I'd probably put Albrighton or Amartey there. Anyone apart from Benny. Purely because his first game for over a year should be in his natural position to gain a bit of a confidence.

I get the impression that Amartey will be rested due to the number of games he's played in the last few weeks at AFCON.

Begs the question though of who is going to play given CR's statement that there'll be opportunies for players... hang on, the phone's ringing.

Just the three changes for me:

Schmeichel
Simpson Benny Huth Fuchs
Albrighton Drinkwater King Musa
Okazaki Vardy

I wouldn't include Chilwell, Mendy, N'Didi, Gray, Amartey, Mahrez, Slimani or Morgan as all would start against Swansea, along with Schmeichel, Simpson and one other.
