3 goals in 3 starts this season. And we play like absolute shit without him.

Is he our best player? No. Is he one of our most important? Absolutely.

Vardy trained today and is expected to be fit for tomorrow.

Huth still not ready to come back in yet.

Matty James out for 4-6 weeks with an achilles injury.

Fuchs has recovered from an eye injury and is okay to play.

All from Shakey's press conference.

How many days were there between Matty James signing his new 4 year contract and him getting injured?

4-6 weeks having already missed a couple means it will be November at the earliest before we see him again. I'd like to bet it will be much later too. Who could possibly have predicted that?

Utterly insane contract that was.

I'd play this

Schmeichel
Maguire Morgan Dragovic
Albrighton Iborra Ndidi Fuchs
Okazaki
Iheanacho Vardy

Mahrez and Gray can have half an hour if needed to be match winners.

With our midfield options comprising of N'Didi (hopelessly out of form), King (hopeless and never in form) and Iborra (looks nowhere near ready), any opposing manager worth his salt would exploit this weakness and batter us.

Good job we're up against Klopp then.

Today is all about Schmeichel and Vardy for me. Schmeichel will need to make some good saves and Vardy will need to create mayhem. If either aren't on their game, Liverpool will win.

Spot on. We have to hope Vardy is an absolute pest as their defence will crumble away or get fed up of him enough to give away a penalty.

Midfield is where we will lose the game so if we can bypass that as much as possible with Vardy and Okazaki chasing everything down we could do alright.

Okazaki has to start ahead of Iheanacho and Slimani for me. Perhaps if we had a better central midfield Okazaki wouldn't be quite so crucial.

So that would be a long lob down the right channel and a 35 yard volley over the keeper into the net by Vardy then?
