Nice. Must admit I haven't really been following the women's team much other than this thread. I assume promotion means we go into the WSL though?

Will be good to see more of the women's team next season with the new TV deal!

I watched the Man City v Reading WSL game yesterday. I was very surprised at the quality of the game, it was far, far better than any previous women's league games I seen from England in the past (many years ago). The women's domestic game has really evolved over the past ten years or so and I would happily pay to watch a game of that standard.

In France, women's football matches are sometimes televised (not just internationals either) and I have enjoyed watching them. I don't know what I was expecting at first but these days I watch games in their own right, without comparison. I reckon that's key though, it's a different game and it pays to watch it as such. It can be just as shit though!

The big difference I noticed was how much more athletic the players are now, the game was played at a much faster pace because of it.

How long before a female footballer is good enough to play in the male game?

I generally don't give a shit about any football other than Leicester games or ones that affect us, this includes womens football.
