Passing is somehow been worse today than last week. We’ve kicked off twice in this half already and both times we’ve booted it upfield to nobody. Tactically incomprehensible. Gonna be a long season if we play like this.

Ah well, at least we're the best of the teams that have lost both games so far.

Much more than a difference in quality here. I wouldn’t even guess our players are training together. They don’t seem to understand each other. The passing is clueless, they’re half a second late with every run, and they’re not fit in the same way the opposition are going to be this season.

On the plus side, Jemma Purfield delivered a better cross from a free kick than I’ve seen in the men’s team in years.

LCFC Women are pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Luana Zajmi from Slovenian side ZNK Pomurje.

The 19-year-old – a Slovenian youth international – teams up with the Foxes for their first-ever season in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League.

A versatile midfielder with UEFA Women’s Champions League experience, Zajmi enjoyed a successful 2020/21 campaign as she was part of the ZNK Pomurje side that won the Zenska Liga.

Speaking to LCFC TV, she said: “It’s just an incredible feeling signing for Leicester City. It’s always been a dream of mine to play abroad. To sign my first professional contract is just incredible.

“Women’s football, especially in England, is developing really fast and I think I’ll have a great chance to improve myself here.”

Internationally, she has represented Slovenia at Under-17 and Under-19 levels, earning 14 caps in total.

She will now link up with her new teammates ahead of this weekend’s WSL fixture away to West Ham United.
