Working on the counter at the newsagent where I did a paper-round. Having seen West Germany in their two games at Villa Park ("Uwe, Uwe"), I didn't think England had a chance. It was quadruple pay and we had not a single customer all afternoon.
I was in the town carnival. From what I remember there weren't too many people about.
Matt Elliott's Leicester debut was against Wimbledon on 18th January 1997.
Not everyone got the answer right, but 16 people did. They each get three numbers for tonight's lottery. If the bonus ball matches their number they win the tickets. If the bonus ball is 49, the ball that's drawn first will be used instead.
I thought there would be a bit more interest in this - do people really not want to go to this even if they have free tickets?
Or do people just think they won't win so they didn't enter?
