So six City players now featured

Four more to go, but can't see them all making it

Vardy will get 10 minutes in the second half against Panama, but would be more useful if he started against Belgium and brought some genuine disruptive play to the match. Hopefully Alli will not be fit, so we will not have to worry about him refusing to pass the ball to Vardy!

Vardy won't play a minute.

Pereira (sp) unlikely too.

Benny...ent got a clue but I thought Tunisia looked extremely shaky at set pieces, so should get a game.

I think Vards will get a token run out as a sub in the group stages especially if the 6 pts is wrapped up against Panama.

My money might be on Harry to score our first WC goal.

Sorry to bang on about this again. But an article in the Times by Matt Dickinson entitled “who will score if captain doesn’t” bemoans the lack of goals amongst the rest of the first XI with not a single mention of a two-time 20 goal PL striker and England’s top scorer a couple of seasons ago.

I’d say the media have moved on big time from the Vardy story.

Ndidi, Iheanacho and Musa all start against Iceland

Off the top of my head, that's not been done since Shilts, Frankie Wortho and Keith Weller started for England against Scotland and Argentina in 1974 (and the recently departed David Nish was also in the team against the Jocks). God bless Joe Mercer ... though inevitably we didn't win either of them.

Good luck to our lads this afternoon ... someone has got to beat Iceland, surely?
