Re: Next Leicester manager

Looks like they are forcing him to resign, to avoid taking the flak for letting their man go without a fight. There is no way we would make an approach without having a deal in principle agreed with Pearson. didn't we deny McGhee and Little permission to speak to Wolves and Villa respectively and look how that turned out !!!!

Re: Next Leicester manager

On sky it is actually stating "sky sources" I do wonder whether the approach went in last night still expect Pearson here by tomorrow / Tuesday

Re: Next Leicester manager

Gutted that after two weeks the best they can come up with is going back to Pearson.

I liked Pearson and all but what's the last 18 months been about then?

We've cocked this whole situation up haven't we.

Re: Next Leicester manager

DHull refuse permission to speak to Pearson (SSN), owners revealing cards!

I have to agree, what a waste of time and money, seems these owners really don't have much of a clue.

Re: Next Leicester manager

Or maybe realising what a fecking ridiculous decision it was to let him leave in the first place

Re: Next Leicester manager

To be fair to the owners they are going back to a tried and tested method. They know it should work.

Re: Next Leicester manager

If he comes back then he would surely have sought all sort of reassurances about interference and long-termism - I can't see him wanting to put himself up the proverbial creek, with a diminished reputation for loyalty, by being sacked in May for not getting promoted.

Lots of rose tinted specs out there, Pearson failed in the single biggest game at city (home play off against Cardiff) by sticking to type, cautious football, I don't think he's changed his style and half of this squad won't fit his mentality. Bamba sure to be sold if np comes along with a fair few others.

To be fair there had been a big row in the camp in the build up to that game. As a result he had to amend the tactics.

We lost on penalties....

Biffa, it's surely a little harsh to judge a man who won us League One (admittedly, with the squad and the resources he had, promotion was clearly the expectation) and then got us into the playoffs the year after (WAY above expectation) on one game, regardless of how big a game it was. Particularly given the build up to that game and the fact that he also nearly rectified his "cautious football" mistake, with a ballsy attacking display in Cardiff, when everyone had given us no chance. Pearson was absolutely a huge success in his first stint here and I'd be very pleased to see him back if it happens.

Re: Next Leicester manager

Hopefully this is all bollocks and Sky are jumping on an unfounded rumour

Re: Next Leicester manager

On the one hand he is the most successful manager we've had for a while.
On another hand I thought Sven was really taking us somewhere.
On the other hand his results over his tenure were awful.
On yet another I don't want O'Neill back.

I suppose, unless I find some more hands, I don't know how I feel.

Re: Next Leicester manager

Do you not read earlier posts? :icon_lol:
Have you?

Thought I'd catch up with events and some of the last 7 or 8 pages on this thread have feck all to do with our next manager .
More like a one upmanship.
Sort it out behind the bikeshed after school children.
Let's get back on topic.

Re: Next Leicester manager

Nothing to do with the offside that wasn't given that led to them getting a penalty?

That was a factor of course but I don't think it was as damaging to our chances as our decision to go for a draw in the first leg.
