Maybe waiting a month and publishing AFTER we have been awarded the 2018 World Cup would have been the best situation for the 'truth & justice' brigade and true patriots / football fans, who would have loved to see the WC back on English soil???
Surely if the story is published after, it puts our bid under scrunity?
I'd love to see yes but I seriously think the knock-on effect of hosting could leave a financial blackhole as clubs and cities take on further debt they can not sustain.

The odd thing is that Warner's comments in this article were completely trumped as the FA moved heaven and earth to get his vote. Played a game in Trindad and set Beckham off to coach an academy. Whored ourselves to a complete crook. We are doing similar this summer by playing a game in Thailand.
Bidding for the World Cup is a complete backhand game of favours and greasing palms.
