Quite. If Rodgers believed that Tierney was better than Chilwell he'd be here and Chilwell would have been sold in the summer. There would have been plenty of takers. He's worked with them both, so I trust his judgement.

Given that Benkovic was a sensation for Celtic last season and cannot get onto our bench, I am very puzzled by anyone that can make that call. Their bias against a great locally produced player is increasingly absurd.
and the Arsenal fans themselves would swap him for Chilwell in an instant, people really need to let got of the fact Puel dropped Fuchs for him, the comments he gets go well beyond just critiquing a performance, same way they do for Gray.

There is some moron on FoxesTalk currently saying Gray's pass to Vardy on Sunday was "a terrible pass"

I do wonder how close Brendan feels Gray is to a start, Perez is growing in recent games and it seems to be a clear battle between those 2 on the right with Albrighton backing Barnes up on the left.

Also do we know why Hamza wasn't in the squad last match, injured/ill or just to include Nacho?

In the first instant i thought it was a terrible pass; a cross across the face of goal was what was expected. But in reality the pass was exactly what was needed; perfectly directed and weighted for JV to do what he is good at. I can only presume that the FT moron suffered a typo and "terrific" was what he intended to write.

And while I'm on the subject, I must say that the incident clearly showed the change that Rogers has effected on Gdray. Even in the recent past Gdray would have seen that centre from the left as an opportunity for his greedy self to score; this time he stepped over, only to have the ball placed into his continuing run. And even then personal glory was not the first thing on his mind. Improvement indeed in both performance and attitude.

SOCCER!

Hypothetical question.

Say, back in August, Maguire had done his hamstring in a pre-season match and been ruled out for three months. The move to Man Utd doesn't happen.

Then say he's still with us and is now back to full fitness for this match. Do you drop Soyuncu for him?

In short No.
If, hypothetically HM was hankering for a move away, I’d tell him to put it in writing, in the meantime you are on the bench.

Shit, even Charlie Nicholas says” when Arsenal lose to Leicester....” not if!!!

starting to feel a little uncomfortable with being overwhelming favourites for this game.

No I’m not, we’ll smash ‘em ;)

Leicester City have won their last two Premier League home games against Arsenal – they’ve never beaten the Gunners in three consecutive home top-flight matches.

Arsenal have lost two of their last three league games against Leicester (W1) – more than they had in their previous 30 against the Foxes (W20 D9 L1).

Leicester have won eight of their last 11 home Premier League games (W8 D2 L1), including their last four in a row; the Foxes have only won five in a row once previously, doing so in May 2017 under Craig Shakespeare.

Leicester have won seven of their last nine Premier League games (L2), netting at least twice in each victory. When failing to score more than once, Leicester are winless in their last 13 Premier League matches since beating Everton 1-0 in January (D4 L9).

Since beating Man City at the Etihad in January 2015, Arsenal have failed to win any of their 11 away Premier League matches against teams starting the day in the top-three of the division (W0 D3 L8).

Arsenal have kept just two clean sheets in their last 24 away league games, with both of those games finishing as 1-0 victories (vs Watford and Newcastle).

This will be Arsenal boss Unai Emery’s 50th Premier League match in charge. None of his previous 49 have ended goalless – with only George Burley (67 games), Ossie Ardiles (54) and Joe Royle (53) going more games without a 0-0 draw from the start of a Premier League managerial career.

Leicester’s Jamie Vardy has scored eight goals in his eight Premier League starts against Arsenal. This includes three braces against the Gunners – no player has scored 2+ goals in more different Premier League games against Arsenal (Didier Drogba also 3).

Against Crystal Palace, Jamie Vardy became the first player to score 10 Premier League goals this season – it is the second season the Foxes striker has been the first player to 10 goals, along with 2015/16, when Leicester went on to win the title.

Since his first away Premier League appearance in February 2018, Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored 16 away goals, the third most behind Harry Kane (17) and Jamie Vardy (21) – however, he is yet to score an away goal on a Saturday in seven attempts, with those 16 goals scored on Monday (2), Wednesday (2) and Sunday (12).
