I have a feeling that the necktie sentence will turn out to be silly. This applies to most sentences where people try hard to appear "cool." However, out of sheer curiosity would somebody please explain it.
As I am now off to the match I am worried that "Necktie is the iPhone equivalent of Beckford" will nag at me throughout the game.

It has been explained in this thread.

In his original post, Leicityboy posting on his iPhone, had typed in "Get Schlupp in the side with beckford". His iPhone interpreted the word 'beckford' (lowercase) as 'neckties' and helpfully auto-corrected it for him.

Just in case it's needed I'll point out that an "iPhone" is a portable telecommunication device popularised by young people and cocaine-snorting advertising executives.

Yes. I realise that now but had only reached as far as the trendy post before I had to go to the match.

Thank you.

Don't thank them for being misleading. And it's got little to do with iPhone either.

The point is that fans call for a 4-4-2 which means very little. If it is the shape you take when you defend then why are our fans wanting it for the attacking element?
.

Because when the possession of the ball is won back, you want to break with support and options. Too many times on this season, we win the ball, it's knocked into Nugent or Vassell and they have no support to attack. At least two up-front gives you that. The same can occur when playing 4-5-1/4-3-3 but you're asking a lot of the players on the wings.

But we played 4-3-3 yesterday, the concourse TVs said so.
