Mine died the second the ball hit the net. I suppose it was as surprised as I was

Well that first shot explains the problem with Shinji. It was easier to score than to miss. He just isn't a goalscorer, he scores in messy situations through intense work. After that Palace dominated the next 15 or 20 mins and Benteke was unlucky to hit the bar having beaten Huth/Morgan and Kasper. Then Mahrez got involved and we one passed with Drinky at the fulcrum. We dominated the last 20 mins and thoroughly deserved the goal. Good battling from Slimani and a well taken goal from Musa - who hadn't looked good until then.

Deserved lead.

Cp had a good patch earlier in the game and Cityresorted to aimless hoofing of the ball but from about 25mins started to look a bit more controlled Mahrez doing wel. Okazaki unlucky not to score. Musa did well to put in a cross and then kept going to get the return ball and a decent shot to score his first. Hopefully we can go out and play the scond half in the same fashion.
