always a fruity atmosphere when the Kase Kopfs visit Germany. The dutch have never forgiven the Germans for nicking their bikes in WW2, oh and I think there was a small matter of military tourism involved as well.
The Dutch also had their own SS regiment.

Differentiated from the parent German one by the fact that they smoked a lot of weed & charged 20 Reichsmarks for a blowjob.

Chelsea have recalled Trevoh Chalobah with immediate effect, so he won't be available for CP tonight. I've NO idea whether than makes a difference or not!

Head-to-head

  • Crystal Palace's solitary victory over Leicester City in the past nine Premier League meetings came at home in April 2023 (D4, L4).
  • Leicester are unbeaten in their last four home games against Palace, winning three in a row before the sides drew 0-0 in their most recent encounter at King Power Stadium in October 2022.

Leicester City

  • Leicester are on a five-match losing streak in the league, conceding multiple goals in every defeat. It's their longest such run since April 2001, when they lost seven in a row while letting in two goals or more each time.
  • The Foxes have lost nine of their past 12 Premier League games, conceding 30 goals during that period and only beating West Ham.
  • They have kept one top-flight clean sheet this season, the fewest in the division, which came in a 1-0 home win over Bournemouth on 5 October.
  • Leicester's tally of two clean sheets in their past 43 Premier League fixtures is the joint-lowest over that many games by any team in the competition's history. West Brom and Burnley have recorded similar runs.

Crystal Palace

  • Crystal Palace are vying to equal their club record of six successive top-flight away matches without defeat, which they achieved in October 1990 and February 1992.
  • Their only defeat in the past 13 Premier League games versus promoted opposition was 2-1 at Luton Town in November 2023 (W8, D4).
  • Four of the Eagles' last eight league goals have been scored via corners.
  • They are yet to score this season in the 15-minute period after the hour mark.

So, we've observed the last month of gradually more coherent football.

We're now a pretty stable side, playing a simple system.

We've lost a lot getting here but it's now time for results.

I'd go as far as to say that tonight is a must win. Palace are 15th and have already lost five fewer games than us. If they win, they're ten points clear and will be gone.

These two home games are where it will become obvious whether this experiment with RvN has anything to it.

I believe we must win tonight. We certainly cannot lose.

Everton are likely to improve from here, while Wolves will still have a bit of a new manager bounce - while it's more important to just not lose touch with 17th place, we could really do with sucking Palace into the battle. A draw is the absolute minimum but we do need the win

Moyes will have Everton safe by March. I suspect Palace have too much, but perhaps we can pull them in.

It's Wolves or bust, I think.

Sadly it won't matter if Ipswich continue to improve. We could do with Delap, Hutchinson ,Davis & Szmodics all having season ending injuries in the next fortnight.
