I am not feeling in the slightest guilty for enjoying watching my team play wonderful stuff at times. They've looked clueless throughout the season and they've looked bereft of confidence completely - maybe, just maybe, they wanted to do it their way and CR wanted to do it his. I am sad when I look at the bench and his little face isn't there but I'm happy when I see the players performing with such freedom.

Slithery as **** this. 3 more goals and my prediction is correct.

Did Claudio tell them not to do this then? Not a dog at you - just baffles me that footballers would need someone to tell them this.
I don't know what the difference is, perhaps it's a sense of freedom, perhaps they are just more focused.

So the 2016 team turn up and play well.
This team have played lots of times this season, so why the **** couldn't they play like this when Ranieri was still here.

Lots of energy. Closing down. Liverpool obviously want to be in the top four and would have this down as a must win chance.

Yes I want them to go on and win, but I do feel a sense of betrayal of Ranieri.

Wow! Where has my team been all season? Take away the goals and its still been an excellent committed performance - I just hope they can keep up the work rate, it has been a tremendous effort so far

I loved Ranieri... but were the players not playing for him, or playing how he wanted them to?

Or perhaps he had instructed the team to conserve more energy, not to press so high up the pitch and play a more conservative style, which frustrated the players.....just a thought!

I don't care why. I'm just ****ing glad it's happening.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves though. 45 to go and Liverpool WILL come after us. We've got to keep the pressure on, keep the tempo and disrupt their possession. We must not let them settle.

Their way tonight has been to play the ball to each other and try and score goals. I doubt Claudio asked them to pass to the opposition and miss from a few yards. I'm happy with tonight's performance but can't help but picture our 2 goal scorers tonight having no trouble slithering under a skirting board wearing a top hat. They've done not only Claudio but us out of most of this season.

I didn't feel bittersweet at all when we scored. I was delighted.

If anything it felt more like relief, and further vindicated the owners' decision.
