agree with the Ricardo / Ghezzal partnership.

Schmeichel
Ricardo Morgan Maguire Chilwell
Ndidi Mendy
Ghezzal Maddison Albrighton
Gray

I wonder if he might go 3 at the back for this one to give more defensive stability.

Gives us 2 players to watch their wingers when they try to come inside.

Schmeichel

Ricardo
Morgan
Maguire
Evans
Chilwell

Mendy
Ndidi

Maddison
Gray

Nacho

Ricardo at right back with Ghezzal on the wing for me.

Did you see Ghezzal's defending for the second Manchester United goal?
Of course you didn't. He didn't do any. That goal was his fault.

Maybe that was a one off, but I don't think I'd trust him (yet) in a match where he'd have to do a lot of defensive work.

Ricardo didn’t exactly cover himself in glory for their second goal either.

2-0 Leicester. Akinbiyi, Izzet.
I think that was the game when I properly caught the bug, seeing Muzzy stroll through their defence to score and the hysterics of a ballboy takingh the piss out of a very frustrated Sami Hyppia.

That doesn’t really support your argument either though.
True. Perhaps we should just write off any player who has made a mistake that has led to a goal.

Or you integrate them in a way that allows for best chance for success.

Playing the two of them together against the scariest attacking side in the league is a risk IMO.

I’d stick with Amartey and Ricardo personally.

I didn’t watch the Southampton game but from what I hear Southampton had a field day down our left side with Amartey and Ricardo playing.

In an ideal world I’d probably prefer Simpson and Ricardo, but I’ve discounted that seeing as Simpson has done a massive steaming turd in Puel’s car.
