A neutral would expect Liverpool to win.

I mention that because against Fleetwood away the person next to me moaned all match and claimed that Puel was useless. - thankfully not my usual seat. This was while we were winning our third match running. I hate to think what people like him will say if we lose to Liverpool.

If we defeat Liverpool without our best striker that will be a great achievement. If we lose that does not make Puel or the team rubbish. The real tests will come against Bournemouth and Huddersfield later in the month.

A measured, sensible, reasoned argument, eloquently written.

You're in the wrong place mate.

Not sure why it does but it amazes me that after last night some people tweeted RL to say play Fuchs over Chilwell, clearly some people only see Fuchs as the player from the title win season and refuse to see how good Chilwell has been this season

This is the best we can do until summer signing Lord Farquaad is ready to replace Evans or Morgan.

Bloody hell, Lawro has predicted a 1-1 draw!

Him not predicting a resounding Liverpool win has to be a first.

Just read a cracking stat. Since we came up to the Premier League, Vardy has scored 43% of our goals against the 'big six'.

You can get by against the lesser sides, but you do tend to need your best players on show and performing to get a result against the better teams. Losing Vardy could really cost us tomorrow. We'll mainly miss his aggression from the front because we don't really have anyone else that can mix it up in our front line.

Liverpool are weakest defensively out wide as they leave big holes if they don't recover possession quickly. So we need pace and accuracy in our passing. We also need mobility defensively so I'd be concerned about both Amartey and Morgan in the team. Personally, I'd go with Ricardo and Evans in there.

I've watched two of Liverpool's three matches so far and they aren't playing well really. West Ham were diabolical against them and they've squeezed through with a penalty and an injury time goal at Palace and by one against Brighton.

In summary, it's a good time to play them and it's a good time for them to play us. Feck knows what'll happen then.

Early kick off = upset. Every Saturday there's moaning about people's accumulators being wrecked by early games. We'll shit all over these, 3-0 with 10% possession and 2 shots (1 on target).

Head-to-head

Liverpool ended a run of three straight defeats in all competitions away at Leicester with a 3-2 victory in September 2017.

The Reds have won eight of their last 12 league matches against the Foxes.

Leicester City

Leicester have lost their last 10 Premier League matches against sides starting the day at the top of the table, scoring just four goals and conceding 25.

The Foxes could win their opening two home fixtures of a top-flight season for the first time since 1966.

There have been eight red cards in Premier League games involving Leicester since the start of last season, second only to Everton's tally of 11.

Since Leicester's return to the Premier League in 2014-15, Jamie Vardy has scored 43% of their goals against the established top six teams.

Liverpool

Liverpool have won four successive league games without conceding. The last time they enjoyed a longer such run was an eight-match streak in 2005.

The Reds are aiming to open a season with four straight league victories for the first time since 1990.

Jurgen Klopp's side have only faced 19 attempts on goal in their three matches so far, fewer than any other team.

If James Milner is involved, he would become the fourth player to make 100 Premier League appearances for three different clubs - emulating Rory Delap, Gareth Barry and Gary Speed.

We are going to get a tonking. We will start slow and it will be game over well before half-time.

I’m as glass half empty as they come at the moment, but I think we’ll get a draw.

Mane against Amartey + Salah against Chilwell = six nil away win, if not more
