It’ll be a shit 1-1 draw and they’ll score from a corner. Haven’t we read the script enough times this season to know?

Imagine getting dumped out of this against these. It would be the icing on top of a very large cake made completely out of shit.

He could easily engineer it, he's very very good at getting dumped out of Europe.

The only person who can beat Brendan Rodgers is Brendan Rodgers. He's capable of this indeed.

I've just realised that this isn't actually a last 16 tie. It is a playoff for the last 16.

Therefore, in order to win this competition, we would have to play 9 more matches (5 of them overseas). Alongside 16 PL games.

That's all in 13 weeks with a blank weekend (LC Final) and another international break already scheduled. Pretty much all our international players will have 2 matches in the international break.

That would leave us just 3 blank midweeks between now and the end of the season with 3 PL matches still to be arranged.

Latest UEFA Conference League odds;

Leicester (favourites) 11/2
Roma 6/1
Marseille 7/1
PSV, Rennes 10/1
Feyenoord 14/1
Fenerbahce 16/1

Plus selected;

Celtic 20/1
Randers 100/1
Can't see a single team there, minus Rennes and Randers, that I wouldn't bet on to win the thing instead of us.

For ****’s sake :icon lol: what could this possibly be based on? Our historical superiority over the likes of Roma and Marseille? Our enviable European record? Our recent domestic form?

Ye of little faith. BR has never lost a UEFA Conference League tie you know.

We absolutely should try and win this tournament.

Sacking it off to focus on the league to supposedly fight off relegation is ridiculous! We're as likely (ish) to make it to the top 4 this season as we are to get relegated (11 points ahead of 18th with a game in hand, 12 points off 4th with 2 games in hand).

The only argument for focusing on the league over this is to focus on getting a top 6 position - but seeing as the prize for that is the same as the prize for winning this (in terms of European qualification), then there's absolutely no reason not to give this a go. This is probably the easier route of the two.

And it gives a chance to win a trophy, which despite it not being taken that seriously, still is a good habit to be in.

Tirana?

Have you seen our recent form? I would suggest that it's much more heavily weighted in one, downward, direction than another.
