Interesting concept. Alternately, you could force the same thing without 9 substitutes, and you'd achieve the same without the bullshit we have to deal with.If nine substitutes is going to be a permanenet thing the rules shoud say there should be at least two under 21s on the bench. It might make some managers think of the kids as a genuine option rather than a last resort.
That wouldn't benefit the Mank teams so won't happen. If nine substitutes is going to be a permanenet thing the rules shoud say there should be at least two under 21s on the bench. It might make some managers think of the kids as a genuine option rather than a last resort.
A back four
Like we had for the first half of the season when we were brilliant
people need to remember Hirst has played senior football, at championship level, before so isn't a complete novice
More importantly- do I crack open a beer or not bother?

Bugger, beat me to it.He played once for Sheff Wed in 16/17. Once. That's it.
had a season in Belgium after that tooThis is true. He's had a few years off since then though?
Exactly my point as well. This is a dreadful situation to have caused ourselves.I don't really have an issue with this line up. It's what we've been forced into with all the injuries.
However, what I have said on here several times before is that BR has been an idiot for not including a couple of the younger players on the bench every time over the last few matches. It was a no-brainer even when we could fill the bench with senior players.
As a direct consequence of not doing this, he is now forced into playing Thomas cold and Johnson and Hirst appear for the first time and could well be needed. It's such poor management, I feel for these kids.
theirowner refused to let him play because he wouldn't sign a new contract, he was good enough to play for themHe played once for Sheff Wed in 16/17. Once. That's it.
