Chilwell's a cunning plant by Rodgers, a double agent as it were. He'll pop up for that all essential mistimed challenge and gift us a penalty. Which Nacho won't take.

Team picks itself these days doesn’t it?

Kasper

Justin
Evans
Fofana
Castagne

Ndidi
Tielemans
Maddison

Barnes
Albrighton
Vardy

Hopefully room on the bench for Ricardo and Under. Dewsbury-Hall too, if recalled.

Pictures from training today show Maddison, Vardy, Ricardo and Under all fully working with the main group.

Only Praet looks to be unavailable - along with Slimani of course.

Assuming that the starting line up is as MA says above, i.e. the same team as started at Newcastle, we still have the following bench:

Ward, Amartey, Thomas, Soyuncu, Ricardo, Mendy, Perez, Under, Iheanacho

And that still doesn't include Morgan, Fuchs, Choudhury and Gray

Our competition for places is starting to look very good.

next four games are massive in terms of where we can expect to be this season:

Southampton - would go equal on points if they beat us

Chelsea - an obvious competitor for top 4

Brentford - a big opportunity to make a real FA Cup run

Everton - currently equal on points

Whatever we do against Southampton we need to play ultra competitive and physical. They've got too much pace not to get on to them early.

For me id play this - with Pereira, Albrighton, Perez being first dibs for subs.

Schmeichel.
Fofana Evans Soyuncu
Castagne Ndidi Tielemans Justin
Maddison
Vardy Barnes

Arguably one of the more exciting games of the PL season is this.

Should be better than watching Man City / Spurs / Utd bore the opposition to death

He’s been in isolation for 10 days, can’t imagine they’d take the risk with his fitness even if he’s cleared tomorrow.
Ah ok. Haven’t seen the timelines, so didn’t know when he tested positive and when he was due to return.

Che Adams and Walcott looked pretty decent without him, and Djenepo, Redmond, Armstrong not bad in support. Tough game this.

Wonder if the saints fans are saying "shit Leicester have got Vardy, Barnes, JJ, Fofana, Ndidi, Tilemans, Maddison, Albrighton, Castagne, would take a point from this".

Found a forum here, they seem very anxious about it similarly to us. Southampton seem to have worse luck than us with injuries at the moment including the Ings positive covid test.
