It’s different. It wasn’t great to watch but that’s because we were shit. To be honest the sheer awfulness of it was a source of amusement and we were never boring by design. Incompetent and plodding perhaps. But never deliberately boring.

We currently have just about the best squad we’ve ever had. We are richer than we’ve ever been. We are two years on from being champions of England and one from being among the best eight sides in Europe. Not hitting those heights again is fine. Boring us to the point that many can’t be bothered turning up despite all the advantages the club has is not.
