What a fking shit show this preseason has turned out to be. Rounded off by an absolute tonking by Liverpool a few days before our first game...

I have to fess up. I left this group for a while because I was was fed up with the negativety. I have to apologise to those people who's loyalty I questioned over the betting thing. I was on a Fb Leicester City group and all I did was question the signing of our new manager because, well, he's untested. I took a right roasting and my loyalty was challenged. So I'm back now with you miserable bastards.... you were all right. I hope you're all fecking wrong now.

In fairness, Coventry will be no where near this level so it is hard to make a judgement on next week.
However, after getting relegated, we really should have just played a load of lower league sides to get the confidence up and then finished it off with a home game against VFL Bochum or some other equally random European team.
This pre-season may have been OK fitness wise, I'm sure the players will prefer conditions next weekend compared to the humidity and heat they've had over the past couple of weeks, but we still seem short on match preparation and the confidence isn't going to be great after a 4+ humping.

Whilst I get that being around it in such vast amounts, negativity can seep into one's own psyche, I would have to suggest that you should have known what to expect. It's a very negative time for LCFC so only natural that a fan's channel such as this is littered with misery, doom, gloom and malaise.

I still think we'll see quite a high turnover of players over the next month until the window slams shut.
Plenty of these still to go, it sounds like we have the French guy who will add to our attacking options and I'm sure we'll see a few more loans from PL teams and if we don't take advantage of it, we're stupid.
The lad who scored the 4th for Liverpool would be ideal for us.
