It did seem a bit pointless. Good run out for Greg Smith though and interesting to see that Adshead is back on trial, especially with Nico in the Mercury talking up the fact that he wants a new contract

I was disappointed that we didn't give chances to some more of our Academy products such as Alex Wyatt and Shiv Thakor.

Where were Sam Cliff and Joel Pope? Pope has been knocking up the runs for the seconds recently and yet we give a Adshead a game. Can't do much for the young lads confidence that. God knows why we are trialling a wicketkeeper anyway, we have Tom New and Nixon has announced that he wants a new contract - for crying out loud give him at least another years deal!

By the way, has AJ Harris died of old age? What a waste of money giving him a new contract.
