Northants are 158/5, which is a surprisingly decent effort from us given our squad and our effort against Gloucs.

Our team is; Maunders, New, Ackerman, Allenby, Sadler, Nixon, Cobb, Henderson, Cliff, Gurney, Cummins.

Good to see a few youngsters including 17 year old Cobb get a game. Cliff is playing too but he hasnt bowled yet which is a bit concerning, maybe an injury.

Newey is turning into a decent bowler, been outbowling Henderson anyway :icon_razz

he couldn't bowl until after lunch as he had to drive down from Preston!! Masters picked up an injury in the morning

Aye disappointing collapse, Numbers 3, 4 and 5 havent fired in the past few games. Ackerman especially has been disappointing.

Three late wickets in the day means we're still in it though, 234 runs behind with 5 wickets left to get.

Well Broad only had one good game tbh, I think the other four are in the running for player of the season with Nixon taking it comfortably.

I agree about those three players in particular, the fact that they're playing now indcates they'll be here for at least another season though Ackerman has been pretty average but at least once in a while he wakes up and shows his class.

Stumps at 145/3, another 389 runs adrift. I see their Saffie spinner is taking wickets, interesting...
