To be fair to him from the January of that season to the time he left, I'm sure his goal scoring ratio was about 1 in 2 or better, which coincided with De Vries' arrival and therefore someone that was physical and won more headers (yes I know what I wrote) than Scowcroft or Hammond.
From January to the day he left I doubt there were many strikers with a better goal tally or ratio in the division.
Reading off Soccerbase he got 14 in 30 games from January - far better than any of the strikers we have had since including Fryatt or Hume, and most would argue that is in a far worse side than what we have now.
