It isn't wrong for some people to express an opinion that GW goes missing from time to time, I am of that opinion, however I am also of the opinion that he is a valuable player to have...lets put the handbag down and back away from the topic now! Nothing more to see here:icon_lol:

How are things anyway MB? Hope all is well.

consider me "backed away" things are OK Silver thanks !

Good to hear MB! I'm currently embroiled in the pleasures of Inheritance Tax.....urrrghhh so boring! So things aren't so good for me, but at least the sun is shining and Leicester have won 3 out of the last 4.

Not too bad for relegation fodder:icon_cool

i have and will support all players ;) do you know why williams walked out at half time mb :102:

I don`t know why he left, if indeed he did, but I do know that the what ever was a miss between Gareth and the gaffer is now OK ! which, for me anyway, is great news.

i agree with what you are saying mb ok im not anti-williams or any player for that matter ;) :icon_bigg

This sort of discussion always surprises me.

Good teams will always have a mix of creative and solid players, slagging off one or the other is short sighted, get behind both and enjoy the best of both styles.

I'm dure some of our supporters would slag off Dennis Bergkamp if he was playing for us, because he did not put his foot in.

Williams is the one of the most talented players at our club, unfortunately for him he was bought into a team by a manager intent on playing hoofball and with his main strength being his ability on the ball, he looked all at sea. Then at the beginning of this season he was superb, coincidently whilst we played our most fluent attacking football. What I cant understand is if we picked a side full of Tiatto's or Kisnorbo's the fans would complain because we had nobody with any passing ability, Williams isnt a Lennon or Savage type but that doesnt make him any less commited. In fact bearing in mind the tactics employed over the last 18 months since he has been here I think the fact he has stuck around proves how commited he is to LCFC.

IMO he suffers because of the fact he was signed from Forest and also because of the way he looks and the fact he appears to be very laid back which can be misconstrued as not giving a sh1t. Come on get behind him, just like everybody tells us to support De Vries.

i ain't misconstrued shlt all. he is terribly lazy. i do hope it's a phase because like you said he has the ability - but what's the use if he doesn't apply himself (fuGk i'm beginning to sound like a school teacher)

A big probelm with him was the tribunal fee things, it added pressure espically when Forest quoted that silly amount for him.

how can that be a problem? do you think the £3m (or whatever Forest wanted) has gone to his head a little?

No, silly or fickle fans of City when they see someone quote a price-tag, they expect that kind of player for the club. It's a normal plays on the brain thing. We read most stuff and believe it, never question it.

Remember as the masterpiece of American Beauty said 'Look Closer'.

I dont agree, IMO Williams does work hard, it is just that he isnt the type of player to be making bone crunching tackles, but then Joey, Tiatto and Kisnorbo aren't capable of playing with the vision and passing ability of Williams but they arent chastised for it,fans realise they have limitations and that is what people have to remember, Williams wasnt bought to run round like a headless chicken, booting players 6 foot in the air.

IMO it is the Forest syndrome, if we had bought him from any other team, the fans would be saying that we arent playing to his strengths and that we are wasting his talent, but because he is an ex tree, he is lazy and doesnt want to play for the club. Which IMO is absolute Bollox.
