Below is a short selection of recent successes of teams getting out of the first division.

Nigel Worthington has been in charge at Norwich since January 2001, he gained them promotion in the summer of 2004.

Neil Warnock has been in charge at Sheffield United Since 1999, now look odds on to gain promotion in summer 2006.

Alan Pardew has been in charge at West Ham since 2003, he gained them promotion in summer 2005.

Gary Megson Joined West Brom in march 2000, he got them promoted in the summer of 2004.

Sam Allardyce joined Bolton in 1999, they got promoted in the summer of 2001.

Alan Curbishly joined Charlton in 1991 and got them promoted in 1998 and 2000.

CRAIG LEVEIN HAS BEEN IN CHARGE FOR EXACTLY 11 MONTHS ON THE 29TH OF SEPTEMBER!!!!!!

If this doesn't bring home to people that he needs time then nothing ever will. You all seem to expect a quick fix but it doesn't happen like that. Even the great MON took over a Leicester team that was in the top two of the league for most of the season, plus he didn't have to sell his best player! He actually got given a wad of cash to spend as soon as he joined.

We cannot be responsible for forcing another manager out, we need stability for the club to be able to grow.

Of course, if things get worse and we find ourselves in the bottom three at Christmas then it is time to maybe look at things. But not now!!!!!!! Please support the team the club and the manager as much as you can.

Says the man fecking off to Miami for 3 weeks:icon_lol: ....Seriously though I agree 100%.I know its difficult to be patient but good fortune does come to those who wait.....hopefully

I didn't expect us to get promoted at the start of the season. If it was just about that, then I'd be behind Levein 100%

But at the minute, it seems we could realistically get relegated, and have got even worse since last season. That's not very reassuring. If it takes us 3/4 years to get out of this league, I'm willing to wait, as long as there is improvement. We shouldn't be moving backwards though.

Another thing to add that list by the way, I think it actually took Levein 2/3 years to turn things around at Hearts too and be successful there.

I'm fine with that, but as I say, we shouldn't be moving backwards in that time. And to be honest, currently in 17th position, only 2 points off the relegation places, we can't afford to move much further backwards!

Levein has set his own standard to be judged by, he has said an improvement on last season.

I'm not calling for his head yet, but things seem to be going in the wrong direction.

We had some good times between the early 90's and the early 00's now lets sit back and vent our frustration during our period of obscurity.

That is football gentleman.

Great post Babylon. :038: We should give Levein 3 years to do what's got to be done. And I have every confidence that he can do it!

They're ok, they play a little harder to get than the ones at Woburn safari park, but they still let you....

Enjoy;)

Very good post Babylon!
But

1) we spent alot of time in the prem so it sort of feels we should belong their!"
2) most importantly we are football fans and want to achieve the unexpected which is getting back into the big time! and feel we should be their and its frustating being no-where near those dreams

1) Teams don't belong anywhere though. Forest, Wednesday, Coventry, Wolves and Preston fans etc etc can tell you that what league you played in years ago counts for nothing.

2) I'm sure Charlton and Bolton fans wanted to get into the prem. They were patient though. Look where they are now!!!

West Ham fans wanted Pardew out, they were not patient. Look what happened to them when the board stood by their manager. I think those fans look pretty stupid now!!!

Don't get me started on that plonker. ha

Funny enough remember West Ham, certain fans wanted him out but they were in the Playoffs at the time.

Weren't they Reading fans? :icon_lol:

I agree babylon but I would be interested to hear where you would draw the line?

Does patience include backing Levein through a spell in League 1 if it came to it?
