you could with a little php code surely? I'm not saying you would, just reckon it might be possible, it certainly would be for me as admin on my phpBB board. But like you mentioned elsewhere, phpBB isn't the height of security!

It's not that easy, and I'm sure you'll also find it's not easy in phpBB either.
The passwords are encrypted in such a way that you can't just use an algorithm to decrypt them, the only way to do it is by brute force - ie try every possible combination of characters until you get it right.

Oh yes! I hadn't bothered to look at the passwords in the db before assuming! Youthful hot-headedness, one day I wil learn to check before I post!! Not anytime soon though probably!
