Maybe he wasn't concerned about learning anything from the game? Maybe like a few on here he realised it meant absolutely nothing about where the team is in regards championship teams?

If we had played 4 across the middle against their 5 we would have been swamped out of midfield, which has been the key area to our passing game lately.

NP is still insisting that we did play four across the middle against their five; he gets upset when people suggest otherwise.

He tried to say we played with two strikers last week, but we didn't.

First time he has disappointed me with comments like that. You can't pull the wool over the fans eyes.

We never seem to be able to completely batter lowly opposition. We put four past Peterboro (team playing well) but struggle against the likes of Crewe.

It would be great to get 5 or six today but will prob get only one or 2.
Anyhow, a win is a win and that's what we must get.

I got my first ST when we are in the Premier League, it's been downhill ever since.

I haven't been for three months and we are top of the league.

I am going today, I expect us to lose.

Higher teams like Pborough came and came at us and let us play our game, and when they attacked they left spaces at the back. Lower teams down, and take a lot more to break down their 6/7 defenders and their midfield bypassing hoof balls.

Shouldn't we try and dictate the play at home, and not worry about the other team's plan?

what part of my comment suggested we didn't?
You suggested the style of the opposition's play dictated how many goals we scored past them.

You explained why you thought we can hammer higher teams and not be so successful against lower opposition. This made me believe that you thought the standard and style of the opposition dictated the game.

Sorry if I misunderstood you.

We still try to play our own game and dictate it though, however if they lump the ball over our midfield when they clear it is a lot hard to counter attack.

Also build up play has to be more patient with more players behind the ball else we would just end up running into their defenders.

So it's better to play against better teams?
