Flipping heck lads, this thread starts about Lilian Nalis and finishes off with a lot of you slagging off our forward line.
Look how many goals we've scored this season,25 not bleeding bad , look who has the most assists Muzzy, look which team has hit the woodwork the most times, us. Things aren't as bad as you are making out.
Whoever plays we will create chances!

I think Nalis has not proved anything yet and does not look to me as though he has the pace and quickness of thought needed in the Premiership- although this also applies to other players as well. His tackling is not as sharp either and often he gave away needless freekicks.
I can see him making only brief appearances when others are injured so it is up to him when this happens to make the most of it.
As for Dickov he deserves to be against Newcastle as mentioned in another thread with Sir Les and Bent to come on 2nd half to keep the Newcastle defence busy and not let they play from the back as we let Everton do.
OH and by the way nice to see xsub back posting again

I feel compelled to respond on this, Muzzy IS the finest and most consistant player in the squad, end of.... :!:

Next point, being based in Dubai, i have been unfortunate enough to attend the England 'yoof' team games during their recent piss-awful world cup campaign, Tommy Wright was striker. TW shows promise, but is nowhere near the premiership striker some on this forum believe him to be. Don't take my word for it, check the results

England did not score one goal in the entire tournament! embarrasing enough, particularly when the england support was v. small and the mad egyptians decide they fancy blaming you for invading Iraq on the way out!!! Lucky to escape with my tackle intact!!

Welcome hot fox. I hope the reference to your tackle was in a non-gay way (c) Malf.

Yorky, thank you for the sentiment, you're making me blush and fart!
Have a good festive season, Lets all drink to 2004 and premiership survival.

I know Micky was chasing Nalis for some time, but it's blatantly obvious he is not up to pace. I really do hope he shows that he can adapt to the Premiership, but I fear that he is just too slow and wants too much time on the ball.

Anyhow, with the likes of Davidson, McKinlay and Hignett ahead of him at the moment, it's going to very hard for him to get back in the reckoning.
