Yes, let's throw the game and play that team

FFS

Howzabout we rest the entire squad and forfeit the match?

I think you have to be sensible. Our players looked shagged out at Watford, they're in the middle of a run of four matches in nine days. Our schedule is the most demanding of any team over this period.

If we play a strong team today (and probably lose anyway), we'll be even more exhausted on Monday. That puts our chances of winning that match at further risk. Why would we do that?

If we set up with a back up team today and give it a go with relatively fresh players, we've as much chance of getting something as with the knackered lot. The knackered lot can then come back on Monday a little fresher and ready to win.

This is the Premier League and it is about accumulating points. I'd take three points from our next two games right now and this is our best chance of achieving this. We have only got one point from our last three games. We can't piss about here or our season could nosedive.

Perhaps I won’t bother making the journey then if we’re throwing the game.

I see your perspective BN but I disagree. Field the strongest team available, today and Monday. We deal with it on the day. For me, anything else is disrespectful; to the fans, to the team/players, to other clubs, to the game even.

We can't go down, not a chance

Therefore you just go for it in every game - anything else is overthinking the world and/or plain cowardice

Some people have forgotten the sheer joy of football in favour of shitting themselves over points tallies and positions in the league

I think that the manager has been honest in saying that the aim for this season is to finish in the top half. I think that that is reasonable and achievable. I doubt if we are capable of finishing above 8th which would be good considering that Shakey stuffed up about a quarter of the season.

Unless Liverpool are totally out of sorts the best thing is probably to keep clear of the broadcasting media today and let our fringe players try their best to restrict the margin - then go again with rested players on Monday. Not much joy in this its true but it is what it is.

Absolutely. If we were in the bottom three fighting for our lives I may and it is still only may, be tempted into agreeing with picking and choosing winnable games to play a full strength eleven against. In the position we are in, going to Liverpool with a second string is not only completely disrespectful to paying fans but smacks of cowardice and desperation. It would make us look like small time Charlies for the sake of what? A possible win against Huddersfield. Really? Are we so worried by the prospect of mighty Huddersfield that we need to piss away any chance of points here?

You're all wrong as I will point out at 5pm on Monday unless Puel has the balls to make the right choice today.

Any potential Huddersfield result won’t change my opinion. This is the sort of game you want to see City go for. And we’ve done them a few times before. Felt the same way about the cup game. What did a weakened side get us results wise after that match?

Cowards.

Liverpool are jekyl and Hyde personified, get into the Shakey jumped up ****ers and at least play with pride rather than scared little Leicester.

We seem to have developed the most horrible little club syndrome where the mere mention of the most underachieving teams like Liverpool scares us silly.

About time Leicester grew some bollocks

I think we should go round to the Car park and set fire to the team bus.

No travel, no problem, players will be fresh as daises the poor little darlings.

If you can’t have a proper go at Liverpool in Anfield over ****ing Christmas, what’s the point?
There isn’t any, we are Leicester City and we know our place.

One day maybe a little old middle of the road, making up the numbers, feeder club with no ambition might do something impossible and give the big six a bloody nose and win the league, nah, hoist up the white flag.

Just imagine playing a reserve side and getting battered today at Liverpool and then whimpering to a shitty defeat against Huddersfield.
I agree with the majority. Let's go and have a right good go at the scouse cock scratchers.

6-1 to Liverpool. :(

Do you realise that if our players are knackered on Monday, Huddersfield's will be too?
They've got a tough game today, and they're at home so they'll want to put out a full strength team. So on Monday they'll either be knackered, or it will not be their strongest team. I'd back us to beat them whatever we do today.

I expect we'll see a few changes for each match, so that those players who can't play twice in three days have some rest.

So, I've heard that Liverpool FC are having a training session at Anfield later and Leicester City FC are sending some random employees to help out.
