I don't have a go at Soumare for that reason. I do have a go at the idea that he was a better option than Mendy or Praet though.

He's 23 soon. If he needs to learn those things at that age then we've been totally mugged off.

Barnes is a better left winger than Lookman. Barnes is out of form though so no argument from me about him getting the nod ahead of Barnes. It's a toss up between them for now really.

The real question is why did we sign a left winger when we already had one and YET AGAIN failed to get a decent right sided player in. Mahrez left in 2018 and we're still waiting for a decent option there.

I feel for Soumare he needs a run in the side to adapt to the pace at the minute he is off the pace.

Barnes does not track back at least Lookman will, I agree Barnes is a far better player it is his work ethic that stinks.

He's nearly 23. He can't do the most basic of things properly. He walks around the pitch with almost no urgency at all and when he vithers to tackle he's usually so clumsy it is almost always a free kick.

I'll give him a little more time but he's getting closer and closer to being resigned to the Slimani-Silva-Musa bin of shit.
