A Liverpool supporting friend of mine keeps insisting they’ll struggle to break us down and find space “because of our low block”. Regardless how many stats I throw at him about just how poor we are. Football fans the world over always take the pessimistic view of a match!

Low block? **** me some people read too much into football these days. I’d describe it as a no block, if I had to put a label on it, but I suspect your friend doesn’t watch us a lot to know.

We don't play a 'low block' despite having one of the slowest and stupidest defences in the history of the PL.

In his pre-game press conference, RvN explained quite clearly how he is pleased with how our defensive structure is developing game by game.

He said that, because Wolves had fewer 'entries to our penalty area' than previous opponents, it showed that the shape was working. He said this with a straight face.

I fully expect him to set us up in the same way this evening. He is fixated on developing a shape and structure and isn't going to care who we are facing or what the opponent is expected to do to us.

From one **** without any plan at all to another with one so rigid he thinks he's a genius.

I mean, Moyes was available wasn't he?

At the end of the season, we'll all be looking back and saying this. Was stupidity and ignorance not to throw everything at getting him.

maybe we did? There's a reason we've ended up with RVN as the only ****er willing to take the job and it's probably the same reason Cooper was the only one in the summer.

Exactly. Nobody knows who we did or didn’t approach before the appointments of Cooper and RVN.

No. But we know who would have been responsible for doing so....
No decent manager with any level of insight into how this club is run would take the job. None. All we'll be getting for the forseeable will be no marks looking for a swift pay day. We're ****ed beyond ****ed. & absolutely nobody is going to do anything about it until we're at least halfway down the championship & hit with a points deduction.

From the most golden opportunity in our history to the brink of wipeout in just a few years. Leicester City business as usual. & all entirely avoidable. Heartbreaking but sadly predictable.

That's not true at all.

For example, it was widely reported that we spoke to Graham Potter at length during the summer and went as far as giving him a tour of Seagrave and discussing his backroom staff.

Made up shit from FT - but if it’s true I’d sack the big nosed twat immediately….

Stolarczyk, Kristiansen, Coady, Vestergaard, Justin, Winks, Soumaré, Mavididi, El Khannouss, Ayew, Daka
Subs: Okoli, De Cordova-Reid, Choudhury, Skipp, Edouard, Thomas, Alves, Buonanotte, Iversen

he is hardly going to come out and say our defence is total dog toffee is he? the bottom line is that 80 percent of our current squad are not good enough at this level.

you could have pep or klopp in charge, the result will be the same. RvN needs a minimum of 6 players in January to stand a chance of pulling clear.

the next 3 games will be torture after that let's see what happens.
