Re: Loan Signing's

Hellings and Nielson were not brought in by MA, but the Reading reserve team player (Jonathon Hayes) was as he made an impression at MK Dons, he was initially signed for them as a squad player but he impressed MA so much that he ended up being a regular in the first team and it was this reason he signed him for City.

According too Milan, Neilson was signed byu allen after a recommendation from Schmiecal

I thought Nielson was recommended by MA's agent, with MA's agent saying he was "the next Peter Schmeichal" or something like that.

Yes. And he was right. He is already booked for the Danish version of strictly come dancing.

Well if Milan says so it must be true.

Re: Loan Signing's

I was thinking Elvis Hammond - if he can't see the goal, logic dictates that he can't hit EVERY shot wide. The law of averages dictates that one or two would be on target.

Play him blindfold then? :icon_conf :102:

Good to know that we had someone lined up for a loan but it fell apart because we couldn't agree the financial side of things with the players club...

So much for supporting the manager.

That's the sort of attitude that f**ked this club completely six or seven years ago.

Supporting the manager does not equate to throwing stupid amounts of money at average players.

So you have player who is worth 5k a week, but the player wants 10k, do we support the manager by paying twice what the player is worth?

You don't know who it was. They may well have been above average...

What f*cked this club over was indeed throwing money at rubbish players, as we appear to have done with a lot of the team this year.

Unfortunately quality still costs money. And if we want to get better we have to:

  • Get rid of some of the shit
  • Bring in some quality (which means spending money)
I'm not advocating wasting money on sh*t or even average players. I think we should spend money on good players. Unfortunately mate supporting the manager means providing the cash to do that.

You cant make diamonds out of dogshit.

It fell apart because we could not agree financial matters with the club not the player.

Re: Loan Signing's

That's what we'll tell him.

Then we'll blindfold him, drive him to Castle Levein, position Elvis outside the portcullis, ring on the doorbell (?) and make a quick getaway.

Who's with me?
Call that a plan?

With only two seats in your car you can't take anyone else along and Hammond will never fit in your boot.

We should get a skip!

Chuck all the crap in it along with Allen's gardening gear that he left behind and have it transported to some landfill somewhere.

According to GT Fox on Rivals, two loan deals for prem players were scrapped on thursday, make of that what you will
