do u mean S(unthorpe, it's a c*nt of a place, full of right cu*ts

I'm not sure what to make of goal scoring records in the reserves as both Wright and O'Grady had good ones but then couldn't really make the step up. So while Dodds has the potential I don't know if he's really good enough for the first team, I suppose you only find that out when he's played.

I'm just a bit suspicious because we've heard about players like Dodds and Porter for over a year now and yet they've never made an appearance in the first team, never even sat on the bench, and Dodds is 19 soonish. When CL came here he didn't single those players out as special, despite them being in the same age group as people like Stearman, Weso and Sheehan.

I think Dodds deserves an appearance or two in the first team, but I wouldn't expect too much from him.

There maybe a number of different reasons why Dodds has yet to be involved with the first team squad. Granted he is banging in the goals, but maybe CL has seen something in his play that at present needs work. He may need to physically develop or maybe there is some work to be done with his mental preperation.

But one thing is for certain, if he was good enough then he would be given the opportunity. Goals are very important but perhaps his all round game needs improvement before making what would be a massive step up to Championship football.

Chambers, Jailow, Muggleton and Dodds all scored today. ;)

Indeed.

Having watched the match, of them all, I was probably most impressed with Chambers and Levi Porter (who didn't score, but assisted a goal, took probably all the corner kicks AND was all over the pitch, doing lots of hard work).

Dodds is not bad, but I would pick Chambo or Levi ahead of him for a trial in the first team!

Just turned 16. Desert Fox used play football with him in Chambo's back garden, or something like that. ;) :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol:

i bet. lets hope he's not too emotionally scarred from the experience :)

He could be our "NATURAL GOALSCORER"that everyone has been craving for. Im sure under this mamagement he will get his chance or be given loan experience. He needs to establish himself in the reserves first, i assume at the moment he is still just playing academy football regularly

No, no, I'm fine.

Oh, you meant Ash? :icon_lol:

The boy's got a humungous future. I was talking to his uncle last week whilst back in good old Blighty (I'm now back in Arizona) and he said the number one priority now is to keep his feet on the ground. He seems to be a level-headed kid (I can't say I really now him personally as I've not seen him since he was about 4) but scoring a hat-trick for England U17s when you're 15 has got to give you a bit of an ego boost! If he can keep his beans chilled, we've got one of the hottest prospects in the country on our hands.

Come on Ashley!!!:038: :038: :038:

When CL came to the Foxes Trust AGM earlier this year he was specifically asked what he thought about the emerging talent. He was disparaging about Tommy Wright and Matt Heath (they haven't made me want to pick them, he said) and then went on to add that he was not impressed with anyone coming through in the under 17 bracket, and how bad that was, and he wanted to do something about it. I think that probabaly means that Porter, O'Grady etc won't make it unless we have the entire starting XI and back up crocked or suspended. He knew Stearman could be OK (a bit young yet) and knew of Sheehan and Dawson, but didn't say too much about them.

Bad luck EB. :056: I think that was before he had a good look and before the players started improving. They might still not be good enough. ;)

Didn't Macca (ex-LCFC academy) say he was released at the end of last season? (on the other forum).
