Luigi Glombard has returned to Cardiff City following a one-month loan spell with Leicester City.

Glombard joined Leicester on transfer deadline day at the end of January - along with Geoff Horsfield and Mark Yeates.

But while Horsfield and Yeates will remain at the WalkersStadium until the end of the season, manager Rob Kelly has decided not to extend the terms of the Frenchman.

He said: "We have now got a bit of cover in the squad, so we have decided to allow Luigi to go back to Cardiff.

"He's got a great attitude and we will continue to monitor his progress. We wish him all the best for the future."

Glombard made just one appearance during his brief stint with the Foxes - coming on as a late substitute in the 2-0 victory over Ipswich town.

well Rob didnt know about Glombard or Yeates coming...! until they turned up for training! So who can blame him for sending him back.

I don't buy the cover thing. I think we've only bought one player in since Glombard?

Hence why I'm not a football manager

Of course what we don't know is whether one or more of our players were discussing transfers with other clubs at the same time, and so if they had gone then RK would have been short on cover.

Nothing gained, nothing lost IMO and frankly who cares.
