Into the lions den and not a game us foxes will be looking forward to (with or without Mahrez). Although they dont normally put high balls intothe box i bet they do on Saturday. It really is time we sorted our weakness at defending high balls into our area. Is it organisation frailties, goalkeeping or arial inept defending Harry and Dragovic have both looked good thus far but both seem to be suspect against high ball deliveries. Also its about time we started a game with a 3 man central midfield of Iborra/Ndidi/Silva. Isuspect Okasaki will return in place of Iheanacho. Its going to be a tough game where we will have to perform at our best to avoid a hiding. Icant honestly see us getting anything. Im hoping for 2-2 expecting 3-1

Don't waste the time looking for a coin. Fuchs is the better defender, and we will need our strongest defence to keep them out. I was hoping Huth might be back as he has had a couple of U23 games.

Definitely start Okazaki instead of Nacho.

If we could get Simpson, Huth and Fuchs across the back, with Albrighton and Chilwell/Gray as the wingbacks, that would allow the Iborra/Ndidi/Silva midfield.

Fuchs WAS the better defender now he might be, he will also get destroyed for pace and give away free headers in our 6 yard box. Chilwell made a mistake yes but stop acting like he can’t defend as that’s simply untrue.

Then you suggest leaving out Maguire, our best defender, and playing Huth who’s played about 3 u23 games and not all even full ones and Gray as a wing back ...

Same team that played against Swansea for me.

Live on the telly & it'll be ****ing painful as all the Sky studio dipshits will talk about **** all apart from sodding Mahrez. They'll all be dying to be the first to say "Well, you can see why he wants to leave them to come here" after we get done 5-0. **** em. ****s.

Lets remember a cold day in February at the Etihad 2 years ago...that was a reasonably good day wasn't it?

Imagine this ... Mahrez plays and scores a hattrick.

Because we struggle in midfield against top sides when playing 2 out and our strikers...

Is your memory really that short? It’s got to be either Shinji or 3 CMs
We’ve struggled against top sides all season, without playing with 2 “out and out strikers”

Iheanacho played that role behind Vardy really well against Swansea, so I’d continue that against Man City. The key is to go out and attack them, not sit back and be scared of them, like we did against them at home a few months ago. Is your memory really that short?

I would play the following.

Schmeichel

Simpson Dragovic Maguire Fuchs
Ndidi Silva
Albrighton Diabate
Iheanacho
Vardy

If we can't trust Iheanacho to up the tempo against Man City then when can we.
We also need to set up to play OUR best rather than string 5 across midfield sit deep and welly the ball to Vardy.
Our best would be Ndidi playing a blinder and feeding Silva and our wide men to break with pace with Vardy..

Imagine this ... Mahrez plays and scores a hattrick.

What would be the likely punishment for Man City fielding an unregistered player? Would it be enough to make the season less tedious?

Suspect you are right. Hope for the best, but fear for the worst. Marhez could come back and show Man City exactly why he was really worth £80m - but he won't. Sadly I think we will be played off the park, frustration will lead to a couple of sendings offs, we'll get hammered and lose our positive goal difference. On a brighter note - we won't have to play Man City again until the FA Cup final.

All of this. I think the two linked up well before Puel made the huge error of taking Iheanacho off. Go at them, they really dont like it. Same team as faced Swansea for me if Mahrez isn't available.
