Sounds like nothing we’ve ever done before. If you’re going to experiment with a system totally alien to the players I can’t think of a more appropriate venue than against the runaway leaders. What could go wrong?
Didn't we stay in the prem with a similar "system totally alien to the players" the year before winning the title?
Every change is alien to the players until you make it.
As for "what could go wrong"... Lots of things if you look for failure from the outset but surely we should be looking at what might just go right for us?
Oh and as for trying it against the run away leaders... What have we got to lose? No one expects us to beat them...

In my wildest dreams we play them at their own game and won beautifully.

In reality the best we hope for is that our boys turn up and get right in their faces from the start.

We should have learnt a lesson from last time we played them and sat back and let them play.

They made as many errors as anyone at the back last time, we just weren't prepared to exploit it.

Get into the spoilt fake big club ****ers.

Shit! Though he would have been more 'In their belly button, rather than, In their face'!

Nacho does not seem to portray the same level of menace and mayhem to upset defences.

I think Shinji being out means we'll start with 3 centre mids.

Ndidi, Silva, James/Iborra. Diabate and Albrighton on the wings. Vardy up front alone - Silva pushing forward more to link the play.

With Mahrez off in a hump and us letting Ulloa, Slimani, and Musa all go, we're a bit short on back up attacking options

Schmeichel
Simpson Dragovic Maguire Fuchs
Iborra Silva Ndidi
Diabate Vardy Chilwell

Simpson's job is to stop Sane
Fuchs' job to stop Sterling
Ndidi's job to stop De Bruyne
Iborra's job to stop Silva (D)

(A) Silva pushes onto Fernandinho, Diabate and Chilwell push forward and wide and stay there marking / tracking their full backs but pushing forward as much as possible. Isolate Vardy against Stones.

If we don't pick up at least six yellow cards, I'll be furious. Tackle and scrap and disrupt them at all opportunities. Break on them with pace into the massive spaces exposed by them pushing too many players forward. The counter-attack can kill them if done right and we have the players to do it.

2-1 to the last City to win the league. Man City are shit.

Sane is injured.

I actually quite like your thinking BN, though you may have to tweak your lineup to include Matthew James.

I think it'll be the same team and formation that started against Swansea. Looking short on forward options off the bench with Oka injured. Probably be a routine 3-1 win for Man City. Hope I'm wrong.
