Christmas Day, stuck in the seventies
Play all day with your Scalextrics
Oh my god, I got a Tomahawk
How sweet life can be

No X-Box and no computers
We just used our imagination
A leather football was perfection
What more could you want?

Sleep through the Queen's speech
'Cause it means nothing to me
Zulu's on, the Milk Tray's out
So it must be love

The ghost of Christmas has come
The ghost of Christmas has come

Hot Wheels on the dinner table
Too much sherry with Mum unstable
She's acting like Evil Knievel
Oh yes, I am blessed

Drink some sparkling wine
Watch Morecambe and Wise
Christmas Top of the Pops
Thank God, the world has stopped

The ghost of Christmas has come
The ghost of Christmas has come
The ghost of Christmas has come
The ghost of Christmas has come

The ghost of Christmas has come
The ghost of Christmas has come
The ghost of Christmas has come
The ghost of Christmas has come

Cheerio folks :006:

Don't worry, I'll be back before you even get chance to say "Oh, I'm really missing Melton Fox" :icon_razz

In fact, I am even taking my laptop with me for the weekend so if I get time, you'll have no pleasure denied you :icon_wink

I bet thats not the only entertainment you are taking...

Went to the brighton gig, was amazing, first time seeing Manics and they were better then i thought they'd be. Little Baby Nothing and You stole the sun sent shivers down my spine. Cherry ghost were good too.
Ears just got back to normal today :)

That was my 14th time. His voice was one of the best performances, but the mixing was all wrong resulting in the backing vocals and the keyboards being, or appearing too loud.

Highlights for me were She is Suffering, This is Yesterday, ME, Stole Sun, Everything Must Go, Forever Delayed and Last Christmas.

Good gig.

You think that was loud?, Rock City and De mont in the summer would have left you crying!!! Was much louder than Birmingham last week though.

FFS. The Manics covering Wham? How the mighty fall eh?

The Manics have/had street cred. Wham were just a pretty boy and a hanger on teenie group!
But Wham did have some bloody good songs. Last Christmas by MSP is a totally different version to Wham's, and neither detracts, nor complements the original.

To say MSP have street cred and shouldn't be doing it is nonsense when you see and hear the reactions of the crowd when they sing it.

I'm going to fire up KCeasy and listen for myself.

And I will be man enough to apologise if you are right :icon_bigg

Damn.

Can find versions by Jimmy Eat World, Hillary Duff, Ashley Tisdale, Backstreet Boys and even that fecking Crazy Frog, but no Manics :icon_sad:
