Im not saying he cant have a good game , even tho cov, and misfud especially, were crap that day.

IMO hes not the future answer to our left back problems. He should be loaned out and learn to correct his obvious faults, at someone elses expense and not ours, like Ollie said in the moan in. Clapham will be in on saturday, and will do a good job for us.

He didn't just have a good game against Cov, he had an excellent game and marked Mifsud out of the match completely

Also extremely good against Palace

Fact is, at his age he shouldn't be relied on to play in every single game - we'll feckin' ruin him if we do. Which is precisely why he's brought in Clapham

He CAN BE the future answer to our LB problems providing the thick gumbies out there don't demand he play like a mature Premiership player week in week out and give him time to develop into the excellent player that he promises to become (and providing that we can stave off the inevitable tempting big money offers we will get for him this summer)

I think a significant contribution to the disappointing progress of Stearman stems from his over-use when he first broke into the side - I recall MA saying at the time he was concerned about this after having to over use him in his first season.

Im not saying hes no good. Im saying i dont know what all the fuss is about.

He made the England u21, big deal, i wonder how many LB's there are around at that age that are English and above average.

From what I've seen of him, i dont think he is better than average, with average potential.

At the end of the day, we have an average set of players, in an average league producing below average results. We all hope things will change soon. I also hope Mattock changes and shows some potential
