I think McCarthy is an excellent choice.

Which leads me to ask the following trivia question!

Q: Which ex-lcfc player so impressed the club he was on loan to that they made him captain? Name the player and club!

And with any luck I will have remembered the answer by the time somebody sends it in. Can't understand why I am so tired today!.

Just a guess - Taggart and Stoke?

No and no.

Matty Elliott and Ipswich :102:

No and no.

And to give you a clue that would have ruled out both Elliott and Taggart, he was already ex-Leicester when he went on loan. In fact, in the strictest of terms he never was Leicester - but he was really!

Has to be Lee Morris

I'm assuming if he was never really Leicester he's a player that we also had on loan?

Still living and was with us in the 90s.

No. He was ours, but never played for us - well not the proper us.

Guy Branston?

For one point!

Can you get the oter for the team he captained whilst on loan?

He was still our player when he was on loan at Rotherham. Not Colchester either. He's never been at Brighton and it wasn't Lincoln either.

I'll put you out of your miseries - it was Peterbotough. Barry Fry gave him the armband after a particularly swash-buckling debut. He's soemthing of a cult hero at London Road even though he played less han 20 games for them in total in two separate loan spells.
