This isn't really the thread to ask it in, but I'm going to anyway - what are your thoughts on Cam Newton? Good or bad choice?

At least his father is allowed to make money off him when he's in the NFL!

He's got a good arm on him but I agree he'll need to do a lot of work to make the leap to NFL QB.

Hoping Smithy will not move on. Under contract until 2012.

I wouldn't blame him for wanting to move on. He's 30 now and is no doubt looking to play on an established team, not a rebuilding one.

I love Steve Smith. I've been lucky enough to watch a lot of different sports over the years and some of the things I've seen him do are truly astounding. He does love the city and has a young family, so it's possible he will stay. I do hope so.

I'm also hoping they sort out deangelo. Great player.
