I've actually got the extended highlights of that game knocking about somewhere. Hungary absolutely batter W. Germany for the entire game, hit the woodwork about 5 times and W. Germany just run up the other end of the pitch 3 times and score on each occasion.

It must be the most unjust World Cup win ever. Remembering also that Puskas was injured before the game under "mysterious circumstances".

We changed the formation for that game, playing two out and out wingers, and it didn't work. Newcastle were already champions and they tore us apart.

At least we drew the second half 1-1

I agree and tbh I'm surprised so many people are aking for us to play our second string. For me, the risk of our players not going into the play-offs fully mentally ready and without the momentum after they would have otherwise after 15 days off vastly outweighs the risk of possibly getting an injury or two.

Agree with most of that, but with Wellens & Oakley as fitness doubts, I think we need to protect King & maybe Spearing from injury. Solano could take over one of the roles (or Adams centre & Solano right), not sure on the other position though

Certainly think Powell should play.

On the subs bench - Fryatt to give him 20 mins? & how about a couple of the Academy team to reward the best players for an outstanding season (so again give them 15 mins on the pitch
