Slim not even on the bench, injured I guess?

Not surprised by changes due to the games being so close but that line-up doesn't fill me with confidence.

4-3-1-2 with Mahrez behind the strikers?

Uninspiring line up but time will tell. CR knows far more than we do about his squad. Chilwell must feel a little deflated however.

I don't think anyone saw this combination coming.

Tinker time

Nope, I wouldn't have predicted that. Even if I knew beforehand about the absence of Drinkwater and Slimani.

Musa to get a run at some point then?

Strange line-up, very disappointed to see Chilwell dropped as the last two games he's been excellent.

Disappointed to see Gray out of the side too, I understand the need for rotation but it feels like he's rotated to keep the senior players happy as opposed to picking a side to go and win the game. Hope I'm completely wrong.

Come on City!

5 changes to a good team. It'll be interesting.

Sky says Drinky is rested and Slimani has a bug.

Surely we can't complain about some tinkering now - if effective! - after everyone has been complaining about the lack of variety all year. He can't win.

Or the fact that Mahrez is away for a month and so Gray will be playing for a while.

You'd have thought the young players would be better able to play 2 games in 2 days especially when they haven't played much all year long. Chilwell and Gray dropped seems strange to me but I trust Claudio.

Claudio may feel that two games in three days is too much for a young player. Against Middlesbrough we may need battle-hardened players as they are not a nice team; but then it is not a nice place.

CR said on Saturday that there would be changes (re Chilwell/Fuchs) due to playing two games so close.
