Middlesbrough are winless in 14 league games against Leicester City (D8 L6) since a 1-0 home win in March 2002.

This is the first league meeting between Middlesbrough and Leicester since January 2017 in the Premier League, a game that ended goalless.

Middlesbrough lost 2-0 to Stoke in their last league game at the Riverside, having won their last three on home soil beforehand. They haven’t lost consecutively at home since April 2022, a run of three.

Leicester have won their opening seven away league games this season. No side from the second, third or fourth tier of English football have ever started a season with eight away wins (Reading in 1985-86 won first seven). Including the top-flight, Man City in 2017-18 were the last side to do so (won first 10).

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been involved in six goals in seven away Championship appearances for Leicester this season (1 goal, 5 assists).

It's very risky playing Choudhury in the defender / midfielder role today.

He can get away with it against poorer opponents but he's nowhere near as technically capable as Ricardo.

All makes sense apart from that one.

Very interesting. Basically has shoehorned Hamza into the side and moved Ricardo out of position so he could drop Casadei.

Can’t blame him on form.

3 strikers on the bench.

BN tip of the day. Ricardo is underpriced for scoring this afternoon considering his advanced position.

I don't think he will be. Ricardo and Justin are both in the side.

I think the lineup is just listed in the wrong order; I see it as Hamza taking Casadei's place in midfield.

EM spoke yesterday about Ricardo playing higher up.

Prefer Ricardo there to Casadei, but he is pivotal to everything we do across the back and midfield. Hard task for Hamza to step into to do that against a decent team, but he has looked good this season.

Also Nacho has been completely wank all season. Needs to up his game big time

We’re still good enough to dick this lot

Hamza struggling a bit. KDH shite. Not using wingers enough

The more EM works with these players, the more a lot of them seem to have their individuality coached out of them.
