Mike Newell - New Manager ?

According to another forum (Foxestalk to be exact), MM has contacted Mike Newell and set up a meeting to discuss the City job - for either now or in the summer. The poster is a journalist who got the tip from Brian Stein at Luton (Newell's mate still). The story should be in today's papers ?

If it's true I would have him in until the summer, but not sure if he would be the right choice long term.

He has the potential to be a great manager but somehow I can't see him doing the biz here.
