There was no one happier than Milan Mandaric following Saturday's 3-0 demolition of Midlands rivals Coventry City at the Walkers Stadium.
Mandaric, who assumed effective control of the club on Tuesday, was introduced to the crowd prior to kick-off before watching on from the directors' box.
"I am absolutely delighted," he admitted. "I am delighted with the result and the performance.
"There was a real desire to win and a genuine enthusiasm. It was great to see the lads really trying hard and we deserved the victory.
"To win 3-0 and pick up three points and keep a clean sheet made it a special day for us all to remember."
Mandaric was welcomed on to the pitch with his grandson Milan junior before the start and he was quick to reveal that the moment tugged on the heart strings.
"It was a special reception - the supporters have been great from day one and I was touched by their show of appreciation.
"This is the start of a great relationship and I am sure we can develop it even further.
"The family enjoyed the game as well and it was certainly a worthwhile trip for them.
"I am really proud of them coming over to give me their support."
Their second victory inside a week moved the Foxes up to 14th place in the Championship ahead of Tuesday night's tough trip to Burnley.
"We are playing well but we still need to make sure of our Championship status and then in the summer we can start planning for next season," added Mandaric.
"This whole process has taken some time and it has been a frustrating ride but it's going to be worth it.
"I am starting to make a lot of friends here - trust is very important in a relationship."
Mandaric also hinted that there may be another couple of arrivals next week.
"I am going to look at things with the manager and there may be the opportunity to bring in a couple more players to add some strength in depth to the side and a bit more security.
"We must ensure we are in good shape for the rest of the season."

Well yours expecting a negative response is negative in itself, so give yourself said prize

I remember when I had my first half a shandy, acted exactly the same, though it's more excusable in a 13 year old ;)

I think the whole of the club has been drowned in negativity for a while but not for the last week or so.

Milan also reserved special praise for City's self proclaimed number one fan,
"Lako performed brilliantly today as did the whole of N Block, I think we would have defiantely succumbed to defeat had the deafening noise not persisted"
Mandaric also hinted that there may be another couple of arrivals next week.
"I am going to look at things with the manager and there may be the opportunity to bring in a couple more players to add some strength in depth to the side and a bit more security.
