Re your last para - There can be little doubt that the social class & status of the parents meant that no one dared whisper anything about the neglect/risk the parents took for a long, long time. If it had been a working class couple, a single mother etc... pointing fingers would've been raised pretty damn quickly.

All I know is that if the McCann's had anything to do with it, then they are the finest actors of all tiime. And the sickest.

Th eportugese editor a few days ago was saying that they 'did it' but it was an accident. I just don't know, but stand by the statement that if they did it then their capacity for acting and keeping it going this long is absolutely unbelievable.

I missed all these deleted posts... I'd taken myself off to see the Johnathan Ross show. Shouldn't have bothered. He's as shit as Stearman after a night on the piss. And a lot less funny.
The protestations of innocence by the McCanns convince me because I don't believe anyone could keep this pretence & amasing 'act' up for this long. So I believe it is not an act and I believe them to be genuine. If they'd kept shstum apart from say one tearful broadcast at the very beginning, I might have harboured a nagging suspicion at the back of my mind by now, but I go along with them that they did nothing except make a very bad mistake by going out that night.
Have to say, it's not looking good for them. The police seem ready to swoop with more to come. wrongly so, as I hope I'm making clear IMO.

If people see a post that they think should be deleted, they can report it by clicking in the red triangle icon to the bottom left of the message. This will automatically and immediately send an email to every moderator and thereby ensure that the post will be removed as soon as possible.

Newton was really unwise to post what he did and it could have led both him and Jeff into a lot of trouble. Let's please ensure that we all do our bit to get such stuff off TB without delay.
