Totally fed up with hearing about the whole thing,the only sad thing is a little girl has either been killed or will probably never been found.The rest of it is totally baloney,wild guesses,crackpot theories and stabs in the dark.

Many find it hard to believe that none of the many leaks have a bearing on the truth.

People will always want to discuss matters like this until it either fades from their minds or comes to some kind of resolution. This case has been kept in our minds in a most unusual fashion and it seems likely that there is an intention for this to continue. A resolution therefore seems to be the only way that the thing will die down - let's hope it comes sooner rather then later.

I read a while back that in Portugal if a case remains unsolved after 8 months then it can just be labelled 'Unsolved'.A Judge has the power to stop any further investigation into the case.I may have misread it because I only scanned it,second read of the paper on the train home bored type scan.Is there any truth in that Boc? I think the significance of '8 months' in this case is that it is the maximum period during which the Portuguese police can nominate somebody as an 'arguida' (a formal suspect), although a judge can extend that period to one year. I suppose therefore that after eight months a judge in declining to extend an ' arguida' would have used his powers to stop further investigation into that person's invovement into the case.

It is easy enough to Google-find cases more than eight months old that the Portuguese police are still investigating so it can't be that no investigation at all is allowed after that time.

It all seems straight forward to me. you have to choose one of the following.

1. Maddie was stolen by a European Paedophile ring to order and they are just guilty of being negligent leaving Maddie 50 yards away with her brother and sister.

2. Maddie wouldn't go to bed so she was smacked and ended up falling over hitting her head leaving blood traces in the bedroom. Whilst dazed she was then forced to take sleeping pills but took too many. When they went back to check on her she could not be revived so they panicked and hid the body in a pre dug grave in the church yard near by. A few days later they managed to obtain their own key to the church. Then 4 weeks after the event they hired a car and gave the press the slip by seemingly locking themselves in the church but they managed to slip out the back after dark, retrieve the body of Maddie and put the body in the boot of their hire car. Then they dumped the body in the sea nearby. They should check the graveyard as they might find a headstone missing which would have been used to weigh down the body. Fluids were left in the boot along with hair trapped under the headstone. An entry was then made in the diary which detailed what happened on that night. There was also an accomplice which will either be Megson, Murrat or the Vicar of the Church: Still confused, surely not!

Took my parents for a drive around Switherland and Woodhouse this morning before stopping at a pub (waterside?) in Mountsorrel. On the way back we touched the edge of Rothley before taking a right turn back towards Bradgate park. I noticed a rather large group of people standing near that turn, and assumed that was the McCanns residence. I thought the police had stopped the media from getting right up to their house.
